Position Summary:

As a Lead Developer for Colony Ridge, you will be responsible for mentorship and technical management of a small development team. You will participate in code review, collaborative design with business leaders and the software architect, and assist in testing, debugging and optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• N-Tier & Clean Architecture – Proven experience layering Presentation, Application, Domain, and Infrastructure with enforced boundaries
• Asynchronous Programming – Mastery of async/await to avoid deadlocks and thread-pool starvation
• SOLID & Clean Code – Writing maintainable, testable code and enforcing separation of concerns
• Unit & Integration Testing – Mocking repositories and services, testing authorization flows end-to-end
• RBAC Design – Modeling Roles, Permissions, Access Levels, per-user overrides, and encoding/decoding claims
• Leadership & Mentorship – Consulting on architecture and technology decisions, conducting thorough code reviews, and writing clear design documentation.

Knowledge and Experience:

• C# / .NET Core (6+) – Deep expertise building and maintaining large-scale ASP NET Core MVC apps
• Entity Framework Core – Mastery of Code-First, Db Context configuration, fluent API (On Model Creating), migrations, and performance tuning
• Repository & Unit-of-Work Patterns – Designing async repositories, DI of Db Contexts, and ensuring transactional integrity
• SQL Server & T-SQL – Strong schema design (GUID keys, junction/lookup tables), stored procedures (e.g. spGetCustomPermissionMappingTableByContactInfoId), and query tuning
• Microsoft DI & Autofac – Configuring services.Add…(), builder.RegisterModule(), and module-based registration
• Service Abstraction – Defining and consuming interfaces (IService/IRepository) and swapping in mock implementations
• ASP NET Core Middleware – Building and ordering custom middleware (UseAuthentication(), UseMiddleware<ApiKeyValidatorsMiddleware>(), UseEasyQuery(), etc.)
• Claims-Based Security – Implementing IClaimsTransformation to enrich principals, custom [ClaimRequirement] attribute + IAuthorizationFilter, and view-level helpers (ViewHelpers.isAuthorized)
• Identity Protocols – Windows/IIS (Negotiate) and OIDC/Azure AD via Microsoft.Identity.Web
• CORS & API-Key Strategy – Configuring named CORS policies and custom API-Key validation middleware
• Razor & MVC Views – Securely surfacing or hiding UI elements based on ClaimsPrincipal
• ViewModels & AutoMapper – Mapping domain entities to clean view models
• Telerik Kendo UI for jQuery & ASP NET MVC – Configuring/customizing Kendo Grid, Charts, DropDowns, DatePickers; defining DataSource transports with server-side paging/sorting/filtering; using Kendo MVVM or TagHelpers; optimizing large datasets (virtual scrolling, aggregates, custom commands); managing scripts/styles, theming, localization; troubleshooting JS event pipelines and async data binding
• JavaScript & DOM Manipulation – Deep understanding of the browser DOM API (selectors, events, node manipulation, attributes/styles); proficiency with ES6+, promises/async, and cross-browser compatibility; optimizing reflows/repaints, debouncing, throttling, minimizing layout thrashing
• jQuery – Using selectors, event delegation, AJAX, and plugins to interact with Kendo widgets and legacy code
• EasyQuery or equivalent – Integrating dynamic query endpoints
• Logging & Auditing – Implementing custom SaveChangesAsync overrides for audit trails and using a separate LoggingContext
• JWT – Generating HMAC-SHA256 tokens (GetToken), managing symmetric keys, and shaping payloads
• Background/Scheduled Tasks – Familiarity with Quartz or equivalent scheduling frameworks

Job Overview:

Colony Ridge Development LLC is seeking a Survey Technician to join our Land Development team in our New Caney, TX office. Colony Ridge has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals, dedicated to providing high-level professional services for all phases of our developments. We are currently developing and building a large community in Liberty County requiring professional services in such categories as residential land development, commercial and industrial land development, streets and other public works projects, parks, schools, regional survey control, and other items necessary to develop and build a large city/community.

Job Description:

The Survey Technician will assist Registered Professional Surveyors with CAD production, deed research, boundary analysis, easement preparation, legal description, field work and computing survey points.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assisting Registered Professional Surveyors with CAD production, deed research, boundary analysis, easement preparation, legal description, and computing survey points
• Perform field work and crew management.
• Processing of raw field data through Civil 3D
• Ability to utilize survey field equipment.
• Perform QA/QC checks
• Coordinate and work with field crews and other office staff
• Lead by example – display solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism.

Preferred Experience:

• An Associate Degree in Surveying, Engineering Technology, or related area of study
• SIT Certification
• Land Development, both Commercial and Residential, and Public Infrastructure Projects
• Coordinating activities with office personnel, including surveying technicians and engineering staff
• Experience searching for/recovering Public Land Survey System monuments
• Processing and drafting utilizing LiDAR point clouds and imagery
• TBC Scanning Module preferred
• Ability to utilize survey field equipment is preferred.
• FAA Part 107 UAS License
• Construction staking experience
• Strong Organizational skills

Job Description:

The Registered Professional Land Surveyor is responsible for preparing, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring the assigned engineering and surveying projects. They are also responsible for communicating effectively with project managers and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.

• Direct and perform all aspects of acquiring, processing, analyzing and compiling data to prepare maps, documents, and deliverables for the following:
• Boundary surveys
• Topographic surveys
• Control and design surveys

• Aerial mapping
• Assist in development of survey division

Qualifications:

• Registered Professional Land Surveyor in Texas
• Minimum of 3 years of experience supervising; topographic, boundary, and ALTA surveys
• Working knowledge of Topcon/Trimble GPS survey equipment, Trimble Business Center, or AutoCAD Civil 3D

Job Description:

The Survey Party Chief is responsible for leading a field surveying team, ensuring accurate data collection using various instruments and software. Responsibilities include supervising and training crew members, performing calculations, reviewing plans, maintaining equipment, adhering to safety protocols, and producing accurate survey reports and drawings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Direct and coordinate the activities of a survey field crew, providing guidance and training to junior technicians.
• Oversee and conduct construction staking, boundary surveys, control network establishment, GPS surveys, and as-built surveys.
• Set up and operate surveying instruments like total stations and GPS receivers.
• Collect and record field data accurately using data collectors.
• Perform mathematical calculations and ensure proper reduction of field notes.
• Maintain organized records of field notes, sketches, and data files.
• Ensure survey equipment is in proper working condition through regular inspection and calibration.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to protect the survey team and other workers on- site.
• Coordinate survey activities with project managers, engineers, clients, and contractors.
• Prepare and review survey reports, maps, and drawings for project documentation and client presentation.

Preferred Experience:

• Proven experience as a Survey Party Chief or similar role in civil construction.
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of survey computations, field operations, plan interpretation, and standard office procedures.
• Experience with a variety of survey instruments and technologies, such as total stations, GPS, and data collectors.
• Strong understanding of survey principles and technical standards.
• Knowledge of relevant software, including CAD programs and other surveying software.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and problem-solve in the field.
• Possess a minimum of a High School Diploma.
• Has a minimum of 4+ years of experience.
